Curofy is a medical networking app that enables communication between doctors. With Curofy, doctors can easily find other doctors, call them with a single tap, and connect to collaborate on patient cases.
Pawan holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He worked with the Emerging Markets team at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai for two years. He has always been interested in technology and taking initiatives. He represented IIT Delhi at various Robotics and Entrepreneurship summits worldwide. He started Economics Club at IIT Delhi, an offline-online platform for economics discussions having over 6,000 users. He is passionate about travel and knowledge, and can always be found reading something.
Mudit holds Bachelors and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi. Prior to co-founding the current venture, he worked with a pharma consulting company, Axtria. In college, he started IIT Delhi chapter of ShARE, an international think tank of students across 14 nations that does projects in healthcare. Born and brought up in medical family, he has a strong network in the medical industry. He is very active member in entrepreneurial community. He was also selected in Draper University for attending its entrepreneurship program.
Nipun holds a Bachelors degree from IIT Delhi with major in Electrical Engineering and minor in Business Management. He has also cleared two levels of CFA from the CFA Institute (USA). He has worked in the Investment Banking division of Rothschild for 2 years on mergers & acquisitions and PE transactions across various sectors. Previously, he led a team of 200 members to expand an online college start-up all over India through social media marketing.
The co-founders have been friends for over 6 years. While Pawan and Mudit knew each other before IIT Delhi, Pawan and Nipun were room-mates in college. Nipun and Mudit represented their respective hostels in Senate (highest administrative body of IIT Delhi) and also worked together on publicity and PR of various festivals at IIT Delhi.
Dr. Nayana Somaratna
Dr. Somaratna is a doctor, programmer and entrepreneur. A self-taught programmer, he went on to clinch a Gold Medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics in 2001. He left his medical practice to follow his passion of becoming a full time entrepreneur. He has developed Prognosis, a free medical education game a game targeting healthcare professionals. The application is one of the most popular medical apps and has been downloaded c.750,000 times, half of those coming from USA.
Dr. Arihant Surana
Dr. Surana is currently working as Medical Director and Chief Hair Transplant Surgeon at Alvi Armani India. After his post-graduation in Dermatology, he opted for dedicating himself to Hair Transplantation when it was at very nascent in India. He is the only surgeon in India who has exclusively worked and researched on Follicular Unit Extraction for last 8 years. Having treated a famous cricketer like Virender Sehwag, he is a well-known Hair Transplant surgeon in India.
