In India, the Companies Act 2013 mandates companies to spend 2% of their profits on corporate social responsibility, and report its impact. Our CSR Dashboard is being designed to help CSR teams to review social impact outcomes and associated financials though standardized reports.

Founder: Ruchi Kumar
o Gold medalist from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai
o Was a software engineer in Infosys after BE from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra
Her technical background combined with the experience of working in the social sector help her to interact comfortably with non-tech clients as well as developers.
We are a team of three in Mumbai, two in Jamshedpur and one in Kolkata.
The cumulative budget for CSR in India alone is estimated to be over INR 20,000 crore. Organizations are likely to allocate around 0.5-1% of this budget to technology and systems to manage their CSR initiative, which comes to around INR 100-200 crore.
The CSR Dashboard is under development. Our other products include:
-DonorCare (donorcare.net): a donor data management solution to boost donor retention and raise more funds for social change, with lower overheads
– EasyMIS: a web-based data collection and reporting solution for multi-location social development projects
We are working with a UK based foundation to build CiviHR, an HR management software for nonprofits. We have clients in India, UK, USA and Canada. Our marketing strategy includes:
– StepONE (drishtant.com/stepone), our private network of around 350 nonprofits is used during Asia’s largest charity event to raise funds. It gives us constant visibility with a number of potential clients, yields product feedback and ideas for development.
-Our recent white paper was shared widely by other NGO networks – also generating visibility for Drishtant (drishtant.com/donation_trends_india). The next one is on CSR.
-We work with reputed organizations like United Way of Mumbai, Magic Bus and PRADAN. Our relationship with clients has yielded several cross-selling/referral opportunities.
