Smartican processes its content using data mining and analytics, and then catalogues it into various forms and categories to make it discoverable by all users. Users can discover, select, and search more relevant and useful content. Smartican also has a recommendation engine, which works on machine learning. As the user matures on Smartican, the engine learns, searches, and recommends content relevant content to the user.

Content uploaded on the Internet is disorganized and extremely difficult to reach and access. According to statistics, more than 100 million images, 300 million posts and 1 million videos are uploaded daily on various social media platforms. Of this uploaded content what a user gets to see is negligible. This is because access to this uploaded content is restricted to closed networks such as friends and family, professional circle, or known sources such as famous brands or celebrities. Hence, most of Social Media content is just lost. The information that is lost could be useful, knowledgeable, entertaining or productive to many other Internet users. Therefore, all relevant content is not reaching the users.
