MUMBAI: Obino, a virtual weight loss coaching platform, has closed a seed round funding from RoundGlass Partners. Obino plans to use the investment for product feature and functionality enhancements and marketing.
Obino offers a dedicated health coach, personalized diet, fitness plans and 24×7 access its app based tools (food and exercise recommendations, reminders, healthy recipes, tips and articles).
“We use mobile app-based technology so that the Obino Coach is partnered directly with our users helping them learn to make simple, practical and sustainable lifestyle choices, every day. It gives our customers control over their health by providing them with the right information and tools to make better choices. With over 6,000 kilos and 4000 inches lost on the app in the last six months alone, our goal at Obino is to change the face of Indian weight loss,” said Ritu Soni Srivastava, Founder and CEO, Obino.
Users who want assisted coaching can upgrade to paid packages ranging from Rs. 499-1499 per month. Founded by Ritu Srivastava, Vishal Soni and Yogesh S in August 2014, the company raised a pre-seed round of funding from Delhi-based health-tech incubator, Healthstart.
“Obesity is becoming a global epidemic.
